Overview
A pantomime with songs in two acts, dating from 1954. Ronald Parr's lively adaptations can be performed with comparatively small casts, and only modest scenery is required. The songs are mostly set to Sir Arthur Sullivan's music for the Savoy Operas.
"The spirit of today infects these pantomimes from end to end. Even the fairies cannot escape the trials of modern life" - The Guide to Selecting Plays (1954)
